Central Contra Costa Solid Waste tasked Town Kryer to take an institutional brand with roots dating back to the 1980’s, and create a relevant face for the modern business model. Its long name, while descriptive, was not fresh or forward-thinking. Additionally, it did not encourage businesses or residents in the community to recycle more and waste less. Town Kryer worked with staff to develop a fresh approach that shows innovation, brand identity and a working model that will stay relevant through the upcoming decades.
The result was, RecycleSmart.
From there we developed a host of materials that helped not only push the brand into the future, but also helped educate the community. It allowed us to build awareness and understanding in the changing recycling and re-use landscape.
